The Tevie Miller Heritage School Society

In 1989, The Heritage School Society was formed to establish and maintain The Heritage School, a Centre for Language and Learning Development for children with speech, language, and literacy delays, and/or disorders. The school operated as a private school until 1996 when The Heritage School Society entered into an agreement with the Edmonton Public School Board designating our school as a "Program of Choice" within Edmonton Public Schools. Under this agreement, The Heritage School Society agreed to contract the services of Edmonton Public Schools to provide speech, language, and literacy services to students attending the School Program. In 1997, the name of the school was changed to the Tevie Miller Heritage School Program to honor the late Justice Tevie Miller. The Society name was changed in the fall of 1998.

The Society supports the Tevie Miller Heritage School Program by facilitating the provision of enhanced speech and language services that cannot be paid for from the educational allocation that the School receives from Alberta Education.
